The universal method of falling in love with learning

I don’t know if everyone will develop a fear of learning or sticking to something. I have set flags for myself countless times, but most of them are difficult to stick to.

Often, when I make plans, I am full of confidence, but when I actually do them, I unconsciously become like fishing for three days and drying the net for two days.

For example, I once made a plan for myself to read a book once a week. On the first two days, I would force myself to read, but in the following days, I developed a procrastination mentality that I didn’t want to start.

It wasn’t until the last day of the week, when I only read a few pages of that book, that I felt deep self blame.

I started to deny myself, and indeed there is a gap between myself and those great men. I can’t even do this small thing well Later on, I gradually reduced the task, divided it into smaller parts, and chose the content I wanted to learn about at the moment to read.

Then, I read for 30 minutes every day, during which I forced myself to read as much as possible without being distracted, even if I occasionally distracted and consciously pulled it back.

Not forcing oneself or making things difficult for oneself, I persisted for a period of time and found that it didn’t seem so difficult to complete.

Instead, it seemed to form a small habit that one day was delayed due to other things, and I would make up for it the next day.

Sometimes, even if 30 minutes have passed, the content still hasn’t reached a milestone and will continue to be read for a few more minutes.

It wasn’t until I read the book “Cognitive Awakening” about learning ability that I realized that good growth is always wandering on the edge of my comfort zone.

“Finding a way to persist in doing things is more important than simply following standardized time and methods.

” I also realized the reason why I used to give up halfway through my work and learning. Everyone’s acceptance of the same thing is different, and their acceptance of the same thing is also different at different stages.

I saw online that some people read more than ten books a month, how many books they read in a year, and then became enlightened and awakened.

Seeing this made my blood boil and I made a painful decision to start reading tomorrow. I also need to awaken myself.

I also want to become more powerful and earn a lot of money like them. but in the end, it all stays at a superficial or even current level of thinking.

Numerous facts have proven that quick success is impossible. Because our ability circle can only expand bit by bit, as long as we follow the matching rules, constantly expand ourselves at the edge of our comfort zone, and are willing to be friends with time, we are destined to continue to grow and reshape ourselves.

The so-called comfort zone edge, fate, in my understanding, means that you feel that it is not so laborious to do this thing, and it does not make you feel so painful and unwilling to start.

Taking reading as an example, for example, if I read for 30 minutes every day, I don’t feel so painful and can persist.

Sometimes there may be a little excitement when I finish, but suddenly if I read for an hour every day, I may start to feel afraid of difficulties, and even during this hour, it may be ineffective, frequently distracted, or attracted by other things.

The reading within these 30-60 minutes is like the edge of my comfort zone, which can be gradually expanded, but if it expands too much at once, it is easy to not be able to persist.

For example, when we were learning English, I actually ranked among the top in junior high school. Then, from junior high to high school, I started learning new content.

Since high school, I have been stuck in my comfort zone. As the saying goes, it’s like eating old books, not memorizing words, not dictation.

All the questions use the knowledge and experience I have mastered before. Over time, my grades have declined.

The best way to learn a new course is not to always just focus on familiar questions, and the subsequent low-level sense of achievement is not to immediately go straight to the difficult part of the content for oneself.

Instead, one can focus on what they need to work hard or think deeply to come up with answers, or reflect on and summarize their mistakes.

Gradually expanding the edge of one’s comfort zone will lead to more and more mastery. I hope everyone can find the edge of their comfort zone, or stretching zone, to do something, and then learn and work hard in this zone until they master it easily.

As Huang Yimei said, when you learn how to learn, what you want to learn, and what you need to learn, you are free.
