How Does Statle Work? It’s Simple (and Addictive):
1. The Daily Challenge: Like its inspiration, Statle offers one mystery country per day.
2. Stat-Based Guessing: You start by typing in the name of any country. Statle then provides feedback using the familiar color-coding system:
Green: The statistic for your guessed country is exactly the same as the mystery country. Bullseye!
Yellow: The statistic for your guessed country is close to the mystery country’s (within a reasonable range, usually around 10-20% depending on the stat).
Gray: The statistic for your guessed country is significantly different from the mystery country’s.
3. The Stats Panel: After each guess, you see a panel showing several key indicators for both your guess and the mystery country (revealed only as correct/close/far). The stats typically include:
Population
Area (in km²)
GDP per capita (often in USD)
Life Expectancy
Population Density
Median Age
Sometimes others like CO2 emissions or internet users!
4. Refine Your Guess: This feedback is your goldmine. Did you get green on population? Then you know the exact population of the mystery country. Yellow on GDP?
